You will need:
1 1/4 yd each of 2 co-ordinating flannels
Step 1: Place pieces of flannel right sides together and square to same size. Pressing at this stage will make pieces stick together and may help.
Step 2: (optional) using plate or bowl, trim corners to a curve. This helps prevent catching the lace in the seam at the corners.
Step 3: place lace in between layers-be sure to point the lace to the inside so you catch the unfinshed or "ugly" edge in your seam. I dont pin...you might want to.
Step 4: begin sewing layers together but leave about 2 inches of lace free at your starting point. At corners you will need to put a little pleat in the lace to give it enough fullness if you did not curve the corners. Leave a gap of at least 6-8 inches when you get back to the starting point.
Step 5: Turn right sides out. Press if desired.
Step 6: Topstitch all the way around making sure to close your turning gap.
