This is what it looks like the morning after the night before! Some of the these drifts are 6-10 feet tall. And we have discovered that there is a layer of ice under it all!

I would just stay in and quilt!
Sorry you got such as nasty start to winter. On my side of the state, I was on the edge, we only got rain, a bit of ice, and a little crusty snow. And lots of wind!
